Hinckley spoke about this 10 years ago in October 2001, and it was printed in the Ensign magazine in November 2001. This is what he had to say:

". . . Terrorist organizations must be ferreted out and brought down.
We of this Church know something of such groups. The Book of Mormon speaks of the Gadianton robbers, a vicious, oath-bound, and secret organization bent on evil and destruction. In their day they did all in their power, by whatever means available, to bring down the Church, to woo the people with sophistry, and to take control of the society. We see the same thing in the present situation.

"We are people of peace. We are followers of the Christ who was and is the Prince of Peace. But there are times when we must stand up for right and decency, for freedom and civilization, just as Moroni rallied his people in his day to the defense of their wives, their children, and the cause of liberty (see Alma 48:10). . .

"On television we see those of the military leaving their loved ones, knowing not whether they will return. It is affecting the homes of our people. Unitedly, as a Church, we must get on our knees and invoke the powers of the Almighty in behalf of those who will carry the burdens of this campaign."

"No one knows how long it will last. No one knows precisely where it will be fought. No one knows what it may entail before it is over. We have launched an undertaking the size and nature of which we cannot see at this time."

Perhaps what he is saying is too simple, but I still believe that it wouldn't hurt all of us to get on our knees and invoke the powers of the Almighty in behalf of not only those serving in the military, but also for all people who long for war to end and who seek for peace.

Re: 2010 SX Review, San Francisco
Here at San Francisco
Vacation Clubs you can do as much as ten great things in a day. And
having a vacation here is worth it. The time and money you spend is not just a
waist but an investment. Aside from these you had given your self a treat and a
moment with your love once. A once in a life time chance of joy and adventure.
Also it is a very natural way to meditate while walking on the beautiful
beach and sets your mind free and all are in good way.
I still have the car and would be happy to sell it to you. If you want to make payments, that's fine - all you need to do is go talk to a bank and have them loan you the money. You then give me the full asking price in the form of a cashier's check from your bank. Then you simply make payments to the bank.

Re: 2003 Nissan 350Z – For Sale

Hi do you still have the car and I can give you the asking amount but in payments if you want

Re: Even More “Common” Sense

@Zach It might be now, sure wasn't back then though.
